Blowing In the Wind (1963) - Bob Dylan

How many roads must a man walk down,
before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove fly,
before she sleeps in the sand?
And how many times must a cannon ball fly,
before they're forever banned?

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind,
the answer is blowing in the wind.

How many years can a mountain exist,
before it is washed to the sea?
How many years can some people exist,
before they're allowed to be free?
And how many times can a man turn his head,
and pretend that he just doesn't see?

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind,
the answer is blowing in the wind.

How many times must a man look up,
before he sees the sky?
And how many ears must one man have,
before he can hear people cry ?
And how many deaths will it take till we know,
that too many people have died?

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind,
the answer is blowing in the wind.

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind,
the answer is blowing in the wind.

  1. BOB DYLAN = MUSICAL/LYRICAL LEGEND!!!!!!
I must admit though, at the moment I am very much into the Beatles and John Lennon in specific. I very much like songs that are anti-establishment and there are many songs and singer/songwriters that have released material of such nature. Michael Jackson, Green Day and Immortal Technique (to name just a few) all artists from different musical genres that express similar opinions and perspectives.
Through John Lennon’s peace activist and philanthropy activities he wrote a number of songs that to this day are sung, quoted and cherished by those who seek a unified and peaceful world. His anti-establishment songs are some of my favourite at the moment.
Lennon wrote a song called “A Working Class Hero” (1970). A song that I had heard a long time ago but never really resonated with. It has a simple melody with simple and coherent lyrics, yet it has found a more profound meaning for me after listening to it again recently. It is a song that was banned for a period of time on radio stations in certain areas of the USA. There is great documentary called “USA vs John Lennon”, if anyone is interested, I shall post the link.
Another great Beatles song that is more humorous and upbeat is on the “Revolver” album (1966). Track 1: ‘Taxman’ written by George Harrison and very fitting especially with today’s national and international financial situation. Hope you like it….
Anyone else have any anti-establishment songs that they wish to share???

  2. I am indeed Saam Saam, the Anti Establishment Man!!!!!

The following link will enable you to watch 'US Vs John Lennon'. http://www.sprword.com/videos/lennon/

In my opinion John Lennon was assassinated, just as so many others have been whom spoke out against the injustices inflicted upon us by our governments.
    ENJOY!!!!!
